Organic parts coming together
This sculpture is made of 3 parts and 4 different clays. A challenge.
This sculpture is made of three parts and 4 different clays. The most difficult part of this 3-part sculpture was the third part because it had to have stability on the ground and making sure that the second part -that is sitting on top of the third part- doesn’t create a new instability. Also the aim was to create a beautiful negative space in the sculpture.

It all worked out nice. The beautiful arch creates a finer touch on this rough textured sculpture piece. I feel this sculpture isn’t finished yet. I want to work with porcelain to create tension between the roughness of the texture and the delicateness of the porcelain.
